Destination: Mickey 90º anniversary

Disney has its own augmented reality application named Disney Scan that works as a digital gaming channel to share content with its fans. To celebrate the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse, they launched the “Destination Mickey 90” campaign.

Promotional material inviting users to scan content in order to access surprises from the iconic character was broadcast both on TV and in online advertising campaigns. You could test your knowledge of trivia, apply filters for selfies, download wallpapers, watch videos and much more!

The tactics employed for Mickey Mouse’s birthday enhanced the augmented reality offerings already available in Disney Scan.  Customers could scan toys, books, stickers on product packaging, and support brand activations, to name a few of the possibilities.
