Web AR + Image Tracking

Grupo Lala, the most chosen dairy brand in Mexico, launched a limited-edition line of its Lala Fresca Entera and Lala UHT Entera products featuring official Star Wars branding — becoming the first dairy brand in the country to secure this iconic license. The campaign, titled “Una Leche de Otra Galaxia” (A Milk from Another Galaxy), reached over 400,000 points of sale nationwide, with a strong focus on families, pop culture fans, and collectors.

The goal: to strengthen the brand’s connection with new audiences through interactive entertainment and expand top-of-mind awareness beyond traditional consumption moments.

The AR experience developed by CamOn XR

CamOn XR created an immersive WebAR experience, activated through Image Tracking technology directly from the milk cartons.

By simply scanning one of the 7 collectible designs (Darth Vader, Yoda, Chewbacca, Grogu, Stormtrooper, R2-D2, and The Mandalorian), users unlocked a gamified digital experience that included:

A Memory Game featuring characters from the Star Wars saga

Exclusive wallpapers available for download directly from the experience

A smooth, 100% Web-Based interaction

The project was developed under Disney’s official license, ensuring a high-quality, safe, and scalable branded experience.

Reach & Activation Highlights

Beyond the massive retail rollout, the campaign was supported by a strong cross-channel strategy:

  • Social media: influencer activations on TikTok and Instagram
  • On-site experiences: activations during Diablos Rojos baseball games (CDMX, May 2025) with drone shows, photo ops, and product sampling
  • Exclusive microsite: offering direct access to the WebAR experience
  • Family engagement: from breakfast tables to school lunchboxes

With this activation, Lala expanded its engagement strategy from physical packaging into the digital realm — turning everyday products into immersive brand experiences.
