AR – Plane Tracking & Image Tracking

With the goal of increasing engagement across Clarín’s Formula 1 content, CamOn developed an Augmented Reality activation centered around the official helmet of Franco Colapinto.

The experience was integrated directly into the news portal, allowing users to interact with the helmet without leaving the article. This integration increased time spent on page and enhanced brand visibility within the editorial content.

Driving Engagement with Augmented Reality

The activation featured two complementary experiences integrated within the news article:

Interactive visualization of the helmet in Augmented Reality, allowing users to place it on a surface, rotate it, scale it, and explore it through interactive hotspots featuring details about its design, graphics, sponsors, and technical specifications.

A filter powered by Face Tracking technology that enabled users to virtually try on the helmet in real time and create photos ready to share on social media, boosting organic reach.

Key Results

  • Increased brand visibility within a high-traffic editorial environment

  • Extended time spent on page across the news portal

  • Generation of organic user-generated content

In conclusion, the activation transformed brand exposure into a participatory experience, where direct interaction drove both engagement and time spent within Formula 1 content.
