“Captain Messi – Join the Fun” is the latest global campaign from Hard Rock Cafe, in collaboration with Lionel Messi, created to reimagine its kids’ menu through an innovative and interactive experience.

To amplify the campaign’s impact, Hard Rock Cafe teamed up with YES WE’RE OPEN and CamOn XR to develop an immersive digital experience that connected audiences through Augmented Reality, Orbital 360°, and interactive digital activations.

The XR Experience: Messi and Hard Rock in a Digital Interactive World

Commissioned by Hard Rock Cafe and developed in collaboration with YES WE’RE OPEN, CamOn XR designed a QR-accessible experience that allowed users to:

See Messi’s collectible figure and apparel in Augmented Reality, placing them in their surroundings through plane tracking technology.

Discover the special kids’ menu, where Captain Messi takes center stage in the dining experience.

Seamlessly connect with Hard Rock’s eCommerce platform, enabling direct purchases of official merchandise.

This global launch, led by Hard Rock Cafe, allowed fans across different regions to join the campaign, engage with the immersive experience, and explore Captain Messi’s digital universe.

On average, users spent over 3 minutes per session, deepening their connection with the brand through interactive exploration.
