Pringles x
Netflix

Image Tracking + AR Portal

Pringles and Netflix launched “A Batata do Mundo Invertido” (The Upside-Down Chip), a campaign inspired by Stranger Things 5 that invited fans to travel into the Upside Down with the new Pringles Upside Down Steak and Upside Down Bacon flavors.

At CamOn XR, we collaborated with Creata on the development of two immersive experiences that integrated the Stranger Things storytelling into the product packaging, combining Augmented Reality and Image Tracking technologies.

Interactive Pack + AR Portal

The initiative expanded the series’ universe to the point of consumption, inviting fans to experience the story interactively through:

Interactive Pack: by scanning the package, users activated a portal using image tracking technology that came to life over the pack, showing the Demogorgon emerging to take over their phone screen.

AR Portal: users could place an Augmented Reality portal in their own space, walk through it using their phones, and discover a recreation of the Upside Down reimagined within Pringles’ visual universe.

Web 360°: inside the portal, users could freely move around, interact with elements, and face the Demogorgon in full scale.

Experience Impact

This action demonstrates how immersive technology can transform a co-branding campaign into an interactive experience, extending the reach of the physical product and creating new ways to connect with fans.
