In the constant pursuit of being the company at the regional vanguard, and following the firm’s historical guidelines, Disney launched Disney Scan, its own app to visualize augmented reality experiences.
Disney Scan was developed by CamOn and has been available since June in 27 countries worldwide, with expectations of expanding to several more. The app allows you to scan toys, books, stickers in packaging, graphic media at product launch events and various other media of the Disney universe.
Some of the current experiences accompany the film launches in graphic materials, merchandising packs, and banners in cinemas or shopping centers. Interactions range from interacting with the characters, watching the trailer for the movie or taking a selfie and sharing it on social networks.
Another Disney product that can be scanned with Disney Scan is clothing: Imagine sneakers and sandals that contain augmented reality experiences with the most endearing characters.
This native app, which took almost a month of development works on multiple mobile devices and is available for download on Google Play and the Apple Store.
